What time is check-in/check-out? Check-in time is 3pm or after, check-out time is 11am. Please let us know if you plan on arriving after 9pm, so that we can make arrangements.
Do you allow pets? As much as we love animals of all kinds and have a variety on our property, we do have a no-pet policy for all our guests.
Are there BBQ grills/fire pits available? Yes, we do have a propane grill, and a firepit available for guest use (fire restrictions permitting) in the off-season.
Are there TVs in the cabins? No, we don't have televisions in the cabins. There is a big-screen tv, with satellite, available in the saloon if you need to watch the game, or check the news, etc. We've found that the majority of our guests spend most of their time with activities around the ranch and surrounding area, and they appreciate being able to get away from the normal world for a bit.
Is there wifi? We do currently have internet available for guests in our saloon, but the service is satellite and therefore is limited and spotty. We ask that you only use the internet for email and work purposes. Downloading and streaming are discouraged because we'll lose our allotted data for the month. Bring your laptop and ask Bex to access the saloon if it's not already open. We do get cell phone service, so it is possible to connect if you're using your own hotspot (Verizon has the best coverage). As another option, The Clark Store, about 3 miles away, offers free wifi.
How far away from Steamboat is the Ranch? We're about 20 miles north of Steamboat Springs. It takes about 30 minutes on dry roads, and closer to 40 minutes if the roads conditions are snowy. We're close enough that activities in the town are easily accessible, but far enough away to feel like you're really in the mountains.
You have a saloon? Our saloon is currently closed to selling alcohol to you. Though if you need to pick something up before you arrive, there is a liquor store in the local Clark Store.
What is there to do? We've got tons to do in all seasons in the surrounding area.
What is your cancellation policy? Reservations for guests are confirmed with a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable 30 days or less prior to your arrival. Balance of reservation is due on arrival. Cancellations prior to 30 days will receive a full refund (minus $10 handling fee). Guests are responsible for the full length of reservation, even if departing early. There is a $50 reservation change fee, and any changes to dates made are subject to the original reservation date's cancellation policy (no refund if you change your reservation date and then ask for a cancellation).
What is your smoking policy? Smoking tobacco is not allowed inside or within 20 feet of any building on the property, including the hot tub, and due to others' privacy, marijuana is not allowed on property. Also, please be aware that marijuana is still illegal on a federal level, and it is illegal to consume marijuana on federal land, which includes Steamboat Ski Area and the Routt National Forest property behind the Ranch.
