1) Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival (February 4-8)
Steamboat has such a rich cowboy history, and the winter carnival reflects that with a snow-covered main street and kids getting dragged around on their skis by horses. It's been around for 102 years, so it's definitely worth seeing!
2) Cowboy Downhill (January 19th)
In it's 41st year, the Cowboy Downhill involves professional cowboys racing down the Mountain in a timed-event slalom. There'll be live music and learn to rope clinics during the day and evening.
