As fall nears, every Front Ranger (folks from Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder, etc.) wants to get those last few adventurous hikes and mini-vacations in before the leaves drop and the snow takes over our lives. The Steamboat Springs area is a huge draw for those folks with its western atmosphere and outdoorsy mindset. But before you come up to our area there are a few things you need to consider when looking for a place to stay.
1) Know what adventure activities you want to do. Here are some suggestions:
4) Figure out where you want to be
All of the above options will help narrow down your search. Knowing what kind of activities and dining you want can help you choose a location for your base camp. If you're more adventurous (rock climbing, hiking, biking), explore more toward North Routt. If you're more into the social scene, get a place in town where you can easily walk or take a shuttle to downtown to do your tubing and fine dining or bar hopping.
If you're interested in a cabin stay that's remote but near enough to restaurant options in Clark and Steamboat, then check out our cabin lodging options for this fall. Beginning September 27th, we'll be offering fall stays with a two night minimum. Come enjoy the Routt National Forest and Zirkel Wilderness area before the snow falls!
